Dr. Shenglan Tang has more than 30 years of experience undertaking research on health systems reform, disease control, and maternal and child health in China and other countries. He has provided consultancy services on health systems strengthening to many international organizations and governments of developing countries. In 2012, Dr. Tang went to Duke University from the UNICEF\/UNDP\/World Bank\/WHO Special Program for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), based in Geneva, where he was Unit Leader for TB\/HIV and Health Systems. Xinyu Zhang\u2019s main research areas are vaccine delivery research in China and other low- and middle-income countries (with a focus on strengthening the national immunization programs and vaccine financing, etc.), and health policy and health system reform in China (with a focus on payment system reform and health services research). She has published several papers as first author and co-first author in international journals such as Social Science & Medicine and BMC Public Health. She received her bachelor\u2019s degree and a PhD degree from the School of Public Health at Fudan University. Ms. Zhangyang Pan is currently leading the communication and advocacy work in VaxLab to enhance VaxLab\u2019s branding as a leading vaccine delivery research platform in China. She also dedicates herself to promoting evidence-based advocacy for public health policy. Ms. Pan has more than 12 years of experience in media, communication and public affairs work. She starts her career as a journalist and editor at the UK Chinese Times in England. Later, she joined Becton Dickinson Medical Device and Bayer Consumer Health, serving in positions across corporate communications and public affairs. Lei Guo is Research Fellow at Global Health Research Center at Duke Kunshan University. He has worked at Duke Global Health Institute, Duke Kunshan University, and consulted for the World Bank and other institutions. He has been engaged in health system and health policy research projects for several years. Ziyi Judy Zhu graduated from Beijing Normal University in 2024 with a master\u2019s in public administration. During her postgraduate study, she worked as a research assistant at Beijing Normal University and participated in several health policy research projects. Before this job, she worked as an operations intern for UNICEF in China.<\/p>\n

Melinda is currently working on strengthening the national immunization programs and the national immunisation technical advisory groups in countries across Southeast Asia and Western Pacific regions. Her research interest and expertise cover new vaccine introduction, vaccine financing and cost-effectiveness analysis, health policy and system strengthening, and long-term care system strengthening. She has published extensively in medical journals including\u00a0The Lancet Public Health, PLOS Medicine and BMJ Global Health<\/em>. Before joining NCIRS, Melinda led the FHI 360 Beijing office and worked for Duke Kunshan University and Duke Global Health Institute, where she led or co-led projects on national immunisation program strengthening and tuberculosis clinical trials capacity building in China. She has consulted for World Bank and Gates Foundation on pandemic control and vaccine delivery related projects. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr. Wenzhou Yu currently serves as the Deputy Director and Chief Physician of the National Immunization Program Center at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Additionally, Dr. Yu holds the position of Chairman of the Immunization Services Guidance and Evaluation Special Committee, member of the Public Health Economics Special Committee of the China Health Economics Association, and leader of the Working Norms Technical Working Group of Experts Advisory Committee on the Immunization Program (EACIP). He is also an editorial board member of “Chinese Journal of Vaccines and Immunization” and an expert consultant for the People’s Daily Vaccine Channel.\r\nHis primary research focuses on disease prevention and control through vaccines, policy studies related to immunization planning, and vaccination service work. Dr. Yu has actively participated in the formulation of a series of laws, regulations, plans, and schemes related to immunization planning. In 2014 and 2015, he provided expert assistance for Ebola prevention and control in West Africa. From June to December 2017, he served as a visiting scholar at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States.\r\nAs the first author, he has published over 30 English papers in journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, the International Journal of Epidemiology, and the Journal of Epidemiology. He has also authored more than 100 Chinese articles.
